The new operation will start on 25 November with the 724 teu vessel LUCA. It will offer one sailing every 14 days.

In addition to these loops Evergreen also offers a weekly East Med service that covers Greece, Libya, and Egypt with two 1,388 teu ships on a 14-day roundtrip.

As reported earlier, Maersk Line will improve its Libya coverage by participating in Bahari Shipping Line’s Egypt to Misurata and Benghazi service as of early June. Further to this, it now appears that the Danish carrier will also take slots on Bahari’s Shipping service between Port Said and the Libyan port of Al Khoms. The service runs with the 1996-built, 1,012 teu vessel MEKONG SPIRIT which calls at Tripoli and Benghazi as well. Maersk will be allocated space on the ship as of 21 June.
