Effective mid-October, Yang Ming will add one more Transpacific service to its portfolio by starting to slot on Asia to Mexico link of the Far East to WCSA loop operated jointly by the Japanese trio of NYK (‘ALX’), MOL (‘CWL’) and K-Line (‘ANDES1’).
Yang Ming’s slots will be limited to Shanghai, Ningbo, Busan and Manzanillo. In addition to the newcomer Yang Ming, Hapag-Lloyd already has a slot allocation on the service.
The loop’s full rotation is: Keelung, Hong Kong, Dachan Bay (Shenzhen), Xiamen, Shanghai, Ningbo, Busan, Manzanillo (Mex), Callao, Iquique, Valparaiso, Lirquen, Callao, Manzanillo (Mex), Tokyo, Keelung.
The service turns in 11 weeks with 11 ships of +6,000 teu.
