Cheng Lie takes slots on new ‘KCM’ Korea – China – Malaysia sling

Cheng Lie Navigation, also known as CNC Line, this weekend starts to take slots on the ‘KCM’ Korea – China – Malaysia sling operated jointly by KMTC, Heung-A and TS-Lines. The intra-Asia specialist, which is part of the French CMA CGM group, thus joins Hub Line as a second slotter on the recently-launched service.

The ‘KCM’ offers weekly departures on a 28-day round trip. It employs four ships of about 2,800 teu, of which two are provided by KMTC and one each by Heung-A and TS-Lines.

The loop calls at: Busan, Inchon, Qingdao, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shekou (Shenzhen), Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shekou (Shenzhen) and Busan.

It appears quite likely that CNC’s slots are part of a wider exchange arrangement with KMTC, as the Korean carrier will simultaneously begin to market capacity on a CMA CGM and CNC operated China-Indonesia-Philippines loop.
