MacAndrews, the north European short-sea feedering branch of the CMA CGM Group, has consolidated its North Europe to Iberia offer. With immediate effect, the carrier appears to ‘close’ its service between Thamesport, Rotterdam and Dunkirk and the Iberian ports of Lisbon and Leixoes. Connections between the ports however remain insured via another MacAndrews service, which already calls at Thamesport and Rotterdam and to which a new call at Dunkirk will be added.
The new born ‘NFX’ service is indeed consolidated into a pre-existing service, and no additional tonnage seems to be deployed to the NWE – Iberia, as previously expected.
The weekly service is maintained by the 694 teu sisters SOPHIA, PANTONIO and MANFRED. It turns in 21 days on the following rotation: Dunkirk, Thamesport, Rotterdam, Lisbon, Leixoes, Dublin, Liverpool, Lisbon, Leixoes, Dunkirk.
Effectively, the loop is an Iberia-based butterfly whith an Irish Sea wing and an English Channel wing, between which the three ships alternate to insure weekly service.
