The Israeli carrier Zim, through its intra-Asian arm Gold Star Line, is about to take slots on the ‘IFX’/’INDFEX’ China – India service, jointly operated by Wan Hai Lines, PIL, K-Line and SC India.
The Service runs on a five week round trip and calls at Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang, Nhava Sheva, Colombo, Singapore, Shanghai.
A Busan call used to feature on this loop, but has been removed in February.
For the moment it remains unclear, whether this new slot agreement is only temporary or whether it will last past mid-July.
Zim has already a strong involvement in the lane with:
- vessels employed on the Korea – China – India ‘CIX’;
- slots on the loop jointly operated by OOCL, RCL and Hamburg Süd;
- slots on the loop jointly operated by Evergreen, NYK, X-press and Hanjin.
