MCC and RCL in slot swap agreement

MCC Transport, the Singapore based intra-Asia specialist of the APM-Maersk group, and Regional Container Lines, the intra-Asia carrier and common feeder operator based in Thailand, have reached an agreement to exchange slots on their respective ‘IA7’ and ‘RBS’ services.

As of 8 May, MCC will slot on the Hong Kong, Bangkok, Laem Chabang leg of ‘RBS’, which employs the 1,118 teu CV1100-type sisters OTANA BHUM and PANJA BHUM, and includes Manila in its complete rotation.
As of May 16, RCL will be allocated slots from Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh on the ‘IA7’, which employs three ships on a Pan Asian rotation.
Since Ho Chi Minh City was recently removed from ‘RBS’, RCL new restores its capacity to the Vietnam port by the slot exchange.
