Hamburg-based Thomas Schulte Reederei has taken delivery of the 3,405 teu vessel HEDDA SCHULTE. The ship is presently positioning from her builders, Rongcheng Shenfei Shipyard at Shidao, to Tianjin, where she will join her first charterer Niledutch Shipping. The HEDDA SCHULTE will then be deployed on Niledutch’s Far East to West Africa service. This loop focuses on calls in Congo, Angola and Namibia, with underway stops in South Africa (Cape Town and Durban).
The geared ship is the third Maxbox type delivered so far and all three the sisters are presently trading for Niledutch. HEDDA SCHULTE is expected to be renamed NILEDUTCH HIPPO.
