Nakuru the Giraffe: unusual cargo on board JPO SCORPIUS

Nakuru is the name of a district of Kenya, and was also given to a Safmarine vessel: the 2,747 teu SAFMARINE NAKURU, currently trading on Maersk’s ‘WAF13′ between Algeciras and Tanger and the West African ports of Dakar and Conakry.

The wild life safari countries are also the next destination of the 2,566 teu JPO SCORPIUS, which will first sail from Australia to Singapore, where she will join Safmarine’s ’Mashariki’ service: this service links the Straits to Mombasa, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with six 2,500 teu vessels deployed on a 42 day rotation.
