CMA CGM ALEXANDER VON HUMBOLDT (16,020 teu) delivered

South Korea’s DMSE shipyard at Okpo today delivered the CMA CGM ALEXANDER VON HUMBOLDT, the second of CMA CGM’s trio of 16,020 teu jumbo vessels. The ship was ordered in June 2007 as part of a series of eight 13,800 teu vessels, but the French Line later renegotiated the orders to have the last three ships deferred by several years and up-sized to 16,020 teu. In a few days, the new vessel will join CMA CGM’s ‘FAL1’ service, on which MSC, CSCL, CSAV and UASC slot.
